Early this afternoon, Wednesday, Dec. 19, a Chevy pick-up truck with a full load of material hit a patch of ice on Hwy 260 as it traveled East.
It slid off the road, down an embankment and came to rest near a large tree. Neither driver nor passenger was injured.
A towing company was called to pull the vehicle back onto the road.
DPS and Gila County Sheriff Deputies managed traffic flow while the truck was stil stranded.
