The letters about campuses allowing students to carry weapons are pretty interesting. The missing point is that if it is necessary to have a concealed-carry permit, but you can’t have it in a building and it has to be in a locker, what good is in a stress shooting situation?
It looks like the Arizona Legislature is just looking for more Second Amendment rights voters. I’m a gun owner. This isn’t the way to encourage responsible gun ownership.
I’ll be interested to see if this bill actually passes the whole Legislature. Gov. Brewer vetoed a similar one last year. Let’s hope she’ll do the same with this one.
