Many conservatives today seek direction from our Founding Fathers with great respect for the creators of the Constitution. Along this line a rather facetious question occurs to me. The Declaration of Independence regards “pursuit of happiness” as a fundamental human right.
I wonder why the marijuana users haven’t argued that they have a constitutional right to use the drug so that they can be happy?
I suspect that the answer is that everyone’s interpretation reflects what they want to believe.
