The Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter wants to provide free local training for Rim Country residents acting as caregivers to those with dementia or memory loss.
If at least 10 people sign up for this free extended training opportunity it can be brought to Payson.
Care Partners Reaching Out (CarePRO) will offer training about dementia and its impact; how to manage your frustration, irritation and stress; how to communicate with your loved one; and how to take better care of your own health.
There will be five, 2.5 (two-and-a-half) hour workshops to help caregivers handle difficult care-giving situations, reduce caregiver stress, improve mood, and communicate better with others, including the loved one with memory problems. For details call (602) 528-0545 or 1-800-272-3900.
