Arizona Department of Transportation crews will apply oil to the roadway surface to protect and preserve the pavement on 14 miles of State Route 87 Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10 and 11. The work will begin six miles north of Pine near Clint’s Well.
Work hours are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. There will be a single lane restriction during work hours and traffic will be directed through the work zone in alternating directions. Drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes.
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. Drivers should allow extra time to reach their destination.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
