Moose Lodge events
The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the lodge.
The lodge has a Thursday Fish Fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekly dinner specials are available.

Vision health presentation
Senior Circle, at 215 N. Beeline Highway, will host Dr. Troy Ford at a Lunch and Learn at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 25. His topic will be cataracts and macular degeneration. By age 80, it is estimated that half of all Americans will either have a cataract or will have had cataract surgery. Macular degeneration is a major cause of blindness and vision impairment in older adults. Ford will discuss symptoms, causes and treatments for these eye conditions.

The Senior Circle is planning a day trip to the Grand Canyon Aug. 9. The luxury motor coach departs Payson at 8:30 a.m. for a day of exploration, inspiration and sightseeing.

P/S Arts & Crafts Guild
Come join the summer fun. The members of the Pine Strawberry Arts and Crafts Guild invite you to become a member and participate in its festivals and community events.
The next meeting is at 9 a.m., Friday, July 27 in the Arts and Crafts Room at the Pine Community Center, 3916 N. Highway 87, Pine.
The guild is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting the appreciation of fine arts and crafts and providing a venue for artists and crafters to show and sell their handcrafted work. The proceeds from its three festivals each year are donated to other organizations helping the communities of Pine and Strawberry.

Elks Lodge steak dinner
The Payson Elks Lodge, 1206 N. Beeline Highway, will hold a steak dinner with all the trimmings Saturday, July 28. Guests are welcome.
The Payson Elks Jam Band performs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by the meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Junction 87 will play live music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The cover charge for those not eating will be $10 or 2 for $15.
The Payson Flycasters Club will meet Saturday, July 28 at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9 a.m. Members will be discussing ideas for speakers and presentations for future meetings. Everyone who enjoys fishing of all types and the outdoors is welcome.
Daughters of Scotia installation
Daughters of Scotia, Monarch of the Glen, Lodge #262 will install its new officers in a ceremony from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, July 28 at the Senior Center, 514 W. Main St., Payson.
Following the installation service there will be a dinner with entertainment and a raffle from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Messinger’s Payson Funeral Home reception facility, 901 S. Westerly Road, Payson. The local sisters will provide transportation to the venue, or those attending who wish to use their own transportation should drive around to the left side of the building for the entrance to the event room.
Both the installation ceremony and dinner are open to families and friends of the members.

Pioneer Clubs meet Thursdays after school beginning Aug. 2, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The clubs are Voyagers for grades 1-2; Pathfinders for grades 3-4; and Trailblazers for grade 5.
Pioneer Clubs integrates spiritual and personal development, gives children opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, have fun and develop Christian values that affect every area of their lives.

Big 3 Gun Raffle
Payson Masonic Lodge #70 is holding a Big 3 Gun Raffle as its 2012 annual fund-raiser.
On Oct. 9, ticket holders will have three chances to win 1 of 3 guns with the first drawn ticket holder having the selection of a Henry Big Boy .44 rifle, a Remington 1911 Pistol or a CZ Mallard Over/Under Shotgun. The second drawn ticket holder will select from the remaining two guns and the third drawn ticket holder will receive the remaining weapon.
