In the fast paced, activity packed era that we are currently living, it is a pleasant surprise to witness folks finding the time to pull together on a Saturday morning in May to do a full-blown community clean-up.
Thanks to the help of Gila County employee, Margie Chapman, who organized and worked the event, county supervisor Mike Pastor and several county employees who volunteered their time to come to the community of Gisela for a clean-up day.
There are too many community resident volunteers to recognize by individual name, but each one knows the effort and hard work they put in to make the day a success.
Special thanks to Safeway, Walmart and APS for their donations.
A hot dog lunch was enjoyed by the laborers and we had definitely worked up an appetite!
The folks of Gisela enjoy the area in which we live and strive to keep it a clean and healthy neighborhood.
Thanks again to all who participated.
