Unity of Payson

Michelle Abraham, with Unity of Phoenix, will help present Unity of Payson’s Sunday, June 10 program. The program is part 1 of a 2-part series of “Modeling the Unity Principles.”

Overeaters Anonymous

Are you a compulsive overeater? Do you eat when you’re not hungry? Do you go on eating binges for no apparent reason? Do you give too much time and thought to food?

Overeaters Anonymous meets from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community Room, 807 W. Longhorn Road (after turning in the main driveway, turn right at the first driveway. The Community Room is in the center of the apartment complex).

There are no fees or dues. The only membership requirement is a desire to not compulsively overeat anymore.

Photography/camera club meets June 11

The Rim Country Photography/ Camera Club will meet at 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 11. There will be a presentation of the digital images submitted to ACCC Spring Photo Competition.

The meeting is open to all those interested in photography and there is no charge to attend. The club meets at Rim Country Apartments (new name, same location), 807 W. Longhorn Road. Rim Country Optimist Club

Rim Country Optimist Club meets the second Monday of each month at the Cedar Ridge Restaurant at Mazatzal Hotel & Casino starting at 5:30 p.m. Often the club has a speaker. The board meeting follows the general meeting. Visitors are always welcome.

The next meeting is June 11 with Marlene Armstrong, Payson High School engineering teacher, sharing the history of and telling about the Payson Association for Advanced Learners (PAAL) and the gifted and engineering programs. The business meeting will follow.

Republicans host Ron Gould

The Rim Country Republican Club will meet Monday, June 11 at Tiny’s Family Restaurant. Members and guests may gather at 5:30 p.m. to order dinner and to socialize. Beginning at 6 p.m., Ron Gould, candidate for U.S. Representative, will speak.

Rim Area Gardeners

Rim Area Gardeners meet at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the Church of Christ, 401 E. Tyler Parkway.

The June 11 meeting will be a potluck supper for garden owners featured in our 2012 Garden Tour, which will take place the following Saturday, June 16.

In addition to the beautiful gardens, there will also be artists in the gardens displaying their creations or musicians lending their music to the ambiance.

Payson Area Singles

This group has no dues.

The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch meets at Tiny’s Restaurant every week at 9 a.m. to visit and plan future activities. On the schedule:

• Bowling, 10 a.m., first and third Mondays of the month with a discount coupon available.

• Wednesday, June 20, carpool to Pine for lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the Fiddlers Jam Session at 1 p.m.; make a reservation for lunch, which costs $5 per person and must be turned in to Sandy by June 19.

The Payson Democratic Women of Rim Country will meet at Tiny’s Restaurant on June 12. The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m.

Friendship Bible Class
