Meet One Of Our New Neighbors, Sheldon Lewis

Hello again, fellow Creekers.

It’s time for another installment of “better know your neighbor.” This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Sheldon Lewis. The Lewis family moved to Christopher Creek last month from Ava, Mo. Sheldon’s parents, Brendon and Angela Lewis, who I have known since I was kid growing up in Pinetop, arrived in Christopher Creek earlier this year and they are the property managers at the Christopher Creek Lodge and the Grey Hackle Lodge. Sheldon is one of six children in the Lewis family.

Sheldon Lewis is 13 years old and will turn 14 this September. He will be in the eighth grade this year.

Last year Sheldon asked his parents for a guitar and once he got it, he never put it down. Sheldon taught himself to play the guitar and piano. He also plays the tenor saxophone in band. Sheldon has played both guitar and piano at many assemblies while singing pop songs. He has also been in many plays and musicals at school.

Sheldon is not shy and loves to perform for anyone, anywhere, anytime. His favorite thing to do at the Christopher Creek Lodge is to give tours, interact with the guests, and, of course, to serenade the guests around the campfire or picnic tables.

I’ve personally heard Sheldon play the guitar and sing and he is very good (look out American Idol). We are very excited to have the talented Lewis family in Christopher Creek and will be sure to spotlight some of their other kids along the way.

As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.

Thanks again for reading the column.
