Payson Womans Club

The Payson Womans Club, the oldest service club in Payson, holds general membership meetings at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Payson Womans Club building, 510 W. Main St.

Membership is open to local women ages 18 and up.

Moose Lodge events

The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Anyone interested in community service hours may call the lodge at (928) 474-6212.

Payson Pro Rodeo Committee

Payson Pro Rodeo Committee meets the second Tuesday of every month in the Swiss Village Best Western’s conference building at 6 p.m. New members welcome.

Bereaved parents support group

The Compassionate Friends offers hope, reassurance and a safe place to talk about our children with others who understand the pain of losing a child. Anyone who has lost a child (or grandchild) at any time, at any age is welcome to attend.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at 102 W. Roundup, Suite D.

Beyond Limits picnic

The annual picnic for Beyond Limits will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 12 in the ramada at Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho Road, Payson.

Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided, free of charge. Participants should bring a salad, fruit or beans to share.

Beyond Limits is an interdenominational Christian group for adults with developmental disabilities.

A Course in Miracles Study Group

A Course in Miracles Study Group meets from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays. Participation is by donation.

Senior Circle events

The next Lunch and Learn is Wednesday, June 20 with Dr. Kevin Raymer, who will talk about prostate cancer. He will discuss: what a PSA tells you; the signs and symptoms of prostate cancer; and if there is anything you can do to lower your risk. 

The Senior Circle is planning a day trip to the Grand Canyon Aug. 9. The luxury motor coach departs Payson at 8:30 a.m. for a day of exploration, inspiration and sightseeing. For details, contact Senior Circle at (928) 472-9290.

Rock club meeting

The Payson Rimstones Rock Club will meet at Ramada 4 at Rumsey Park, Wednesday, June 13. The regular meeting is at 3:30 p.m., with the board meeting at 2:30 p.m.

For July, the group will be meeting off-site, but will be back in the library for the rest of the year.

New Hope Grief Support Group

The New Hope Grief Support Group is for those who have lost a spouse. It meets from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Senior Circle, 215 N. Beeline Highway, Payson.

Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers meets at 5 p.m. every Wednesday at the Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Road (next to the fire station).

Nar-Anon 

Nar-Anon is a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of living with an addicted relative or friend. Kiwanis invitation

The Zane Grey Kiwanis and its Young Professionals group invite anyone interested in learning more about the organizations, which are dedicated to helping Rim Country children, to attend one of the meetings.

The Kiwanis meet from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. every Thursday at Tiny’s Family Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260. The Young Professionals meet at 5:30 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays at Macky’s Restaurant.

The Rim Country Celts will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 14 at the Crosswinds Restaurant at the Payson Airport.

The agenda includes finalizing plans for the new fiscal year, accepting nominations for the new officers, and sharing news.
