A cook got a little extra spicy Monday night when he started throwing knives in a Pine restaurant.
Hector Felix, 41, reportedly returned to HB’s Place in Pine around 6:30 p.m., where he worked as a cook.
It is unclear what spurred the confrontation, but Felix was allegedly upset with another cook at the restaurant and at some point started throwing knives.
When the sheriff’s office received a call for help, it was reported Felix was throwing knives at employees and customers, said GCSO Lt. Tim Scott.
Two sheriff’s deputies raced to the restaurant, at 3854 N. Highway 87, only to find Felix had fled.
The sheriff’s office sent out a call to the Payson Police Department and the Department of Public Safety for help in locating Felix.
Luckily, no one was injured at HB’s Place, Scott said.
The owner of HB’s Place said Felix had worked at the restaurant for some time.
He was not working at the time. He reportedly entered the business and got into an altercation with another cook. The owner said she did not know what the disagreement was about, but she believes Felix had been drinking.
The owner said no one, including customers, was injured, although it did cause quite a scene.
Payson police officers found Felix at a home on North Whiting Drive and arrested him.
