Hello again, fellow Creekers.
It’s time for another installment of “better know your neighbor.” This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Patty Scheierman. Patty currently works part-time at the Christopher Creek Lodge and also does massage therapy. I first met Patty about a year ago, and she is always friendly and helpful and has a great appreciation for the outdoors.
Patty is originally from Missouri, but lived in Scottsdale for 25 years before moving to Christopher Creek where she has now lived for the last year.
So, what brought Patty to Christopher Creek? She has always wanted to live here. Patty used to visit Christopher Creek from the Valley on the weekends and she finally found a way to make it up here to live. She said she wanted to get out of the heat of the Valley and live the simple life.
When I asked Patty if she wasn’t living here, where would she be? She refused to answer and said she wouldn’t live anywhere else. She loves the outdoors so with the creek, ponderosa pines and many lakes, of course, this is her favorite place.
Some of her most memorable times in Christopher Creek have been fishing at Woods Canyon Lake. Her favorite thing about Christopher Creek is the beautiful, quiet community with clean air. She says she just feels healthier and more alive living in Christopher Creek.
As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.
Thanks again for reading the column.
