Pine/Strawberry Card Players

We play a variety of entertaining poker games at the Pine Strawberry Senior Center Dining Room from noon to 5 p.m., Mondays and Fridays. Lunch is available Monday through Friday, if signed up the preceding business day.

Payson Womans Club

The Payson Womans Club, the oldest service club in Payson, holds general membership meetings at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Payson Womans Club building, 510 W. Main St. Membership is open to local women ages 18 and up.

Payson Area Singles

The Payson Area Singles group has no dues, and no elections. Upcoming events include:

Tuesday, March 13 – 5 p.m., hamburger night at Diamond Point Restaurant, please sign up.

Friday March 16 – 10:30 a.m., St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Senior Center on Main Street, there will be Irish music, a corned beef luncheon for $5, movie and pinochle after. Reservations are needed, call (928) 474-4876.

Payson Pro Rodeo Committee

Payson Pro Rodeo Committee meets the second Tuesday of every month in the Swiss Village Best Western’s conference building at 6 p.m. New members welcome.

A Course in Miracles Study Group

A Course in Miracles Study Group meets from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays. Participation is by donation.

Bereaved parents support group

The Compassionate Friends offers hope, reassurance and a safe place to talk about our children with others who understand the pain of losing a child. Anyone who has lost a child (or grandchild) at any time, at any age is welcome to attend.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at 102 W. Roundup, Suite D.

Payson Masonic Lodge

Payson Masonic Lodge #70, F&AM meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 200 E. Rancho Road. Business meetings are on the second Tuesday preceded by dinner at 5:30 p.m. and an educational program follows dinner. All Arizona Masonic family members and sojourners are welcome.

The New Hope Grief Support Group is for those who have lost a spouse. It meets from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Senior Circle, 215 N. Beeline Highway, Payson.

Payson Rimstones Rock Club meeting

Payson Rimstones Rock Club will meet at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 14. It will be preceded at 2:30 p.m. by the board meeting. The meeting will be held at the Payson Library, 328 N. McLane Road.

The guest speakers will be Lana Butterfield and Kim Merrill from the Meteor Crater. Members and guests may bring rocks to see if they are meteorites.

Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers meets at 5 p.m. every Wednesday at the Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Road (next to the fire station).

Nar-Anon is a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of living with an addicted relative or friend.

Rim Country Cowboy Church

Kiwanis invitation

The Zane Grey Kiwanis and its Young Professionals group invite anyone interested in learning more about the organizations, which are dedicated to helping Rim Country children, to attend one of the meetings.
