Spring is in the air, and so are golf balls. The 2012 season for the Payson Women’s Golf Association begins Tuesday, March 27 with the annual Kick-off Breakfast at the Mazatzal Casino at 9 a.m. All Rim Country women are invited to bring their clubs for a just-for-fun round of golf afterward.
The PWGA plays every Tuesday morning at the Payson Golf Course. League play officially begins April 3 and runs through Oct. 30. The season includes weekly games, a mix of fun tournaments and competitive tournaments including the Club Championship and the State Medallion, monthly luncheon meetings and a variety of social activities.
Whether you are a competitive golfer or just love to play the game, the PWGA is for you. The league is comprised of all ages and skill levels, and many of the tournaments are flighted, so everyone has a chance to win. You’ll get to know women golfers from all over the Payson area, too.
So dust the cobwebs off those clubs and join the PWGA for what is sure to be a great 2012 season.
Those interested in being a PWGA member or want to learn more about the league, come to the Mazatzal Casino for breakfast on March 27 or call Kelly O’Neill at (928) 478-0003.
