We May See Some Winter Weather This Weekend

Fair weather is forecasted for today, Friday, March 16, with highs in the low to mid-60s. But it will turn mostly overcast on Saturday with cooler temperatures. Sunday will progress with an oncoming front that will include a 30-percent chance of rain turning to snow. The precipitation will show an increase in coverage in the mid-afternoon as it rises to a 40-percent chance of snow.

Recently, an unusual donation was sent in support of the Heber Overgaard Rim Community Library.

Jay Whetton, who was born and raised in Heber Overgaard, moved to New York and then Japan, sent a donation of books from Japan. Shipping cost of the books was approximately $140 and many in the community were astounded at this gesture of support for our local library. Check out the new inventory.

The Heber Overgaard Rim Community Library is open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays; Story Hour is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday; hours on the first Saturday of the month are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The library is located at 3404 Mustang Avenue in Heber.
