Storm Blew Visitors In

Hello again fellow Creekers.

It’s a winter wonderland again in Christopher Creek. We’ve received quite a bit of snow from this last storm, which was a much-needed boom for business. The Christopher Creek Lodge has been busier in the last few weeks and we’ve had many visitors from the Valley that are enjoying playing in some snow during their spring break.

Visitors have commented on how beautiful and quiet the environment is and that they feel like they are out of the hustle and bustle and noise of the city. When the Christopher Creek Lodge gets busier, it means more business for the Tall Pines Market and the Christopher Creek restaurants.

The Christopher Creek Lodge has made many improvements over the last few months, including adding new carpet and tile to all the cabins, trail bunk rooms and Pony Express motel rooms. More beautiful landscaping has also been added in preparation for our wonderful summer visitors. The Grey Hackle Lodge has also been working on renovations, which include a new country-themed atmosphere. The Grey Hackle Lodge will be open for the summer season on May 11.

We are very excited about the coming summer season and hope to continue to have many visitors from the Valley and other areas.

We are very thankful for the many visitors that come to our beautiful area and bring business to Christopher Creek. I’m sure the folks at Tall Pines Market and restaurants in Christopher Creek are also looking forward to another wonderful summer of visitors enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather.

As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please email me at: info@christophercreeklodge.com. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.

Thanks again for reading the column.
