Hello again fellow Creekers.
Memorial Day is almost here and there are a few celebrations going on this weekend in Christopher Creek.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Christopher Creek is holding a Memorial Day community barbecue and potluck. All are welcome to attend at 5 p.m., Saturday, May 26. The event will take place outside at the church. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. If you have any questions please contact Susan Palmer at the church, (928) 478-4882.
Also, the Christopher/Kohls Fire Department and the Firebelles Auxiliary wanted to remind everyone they are celebrating Memorial Day with a festival at the fire station from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 26. This will be a fun event for the entire family and activities include lunch, a book sale, a bake sale and a silent auction.
Local cooks will also provide plenty of delicious baked goods for the bake sale. If you wish to contribute baked goods drop them off with Shelia at Tall Pines Market on Friday afternoon or at the Fire Station on Saturday morning.
Book donations wanted
Book donations for the book sale should be in good condition and may be delivered to the fire department. All funds raised will be used for firefighter training and equipment.
