Fifth & Sixth Grade Basketball League

Registration is now open. Boys and girls will have separate leagues.

Volunteer coaches are always needed and fees are waived if you are a head coach. Games will be on Saturdays starting in early December. Cost is $30 per child and includes their game shirt.

Volleyball League for Seventh- & Eighth-Graders

This league will be open for all boys and girls in the seventh and eighth grades that are not playing in the school league or in the club volleyball programs.

Outdoor recreation

Turkey Trot 5K

Join the annual Turkey Trot 5K beginning and ending at Green Valley Park.

Check-in and day-of registration begins at 8 a.m. Race starts at 9 a.m.

Ages: 10 and up

Date: Saturday, Nov. 17

Time: 9 a.m.

Place: Green Valley Park

Fee: $40, $25 for students up to 12th grade

Fall Outdoor Photography

Learn simple techniques of outdoor photography. Photographers will learn effective composition techniques, as well as how to find ideal locations for outdoor photography. Participants must be familiar with the use of their camera and able to hike a half-mile.

Registration: Through Nov. 7

Date: Nov. 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Ages: 16 and up

Location: Pine – Participants will meet in the parking lot of Ponderosa Market on the left hand corner of Highway 87 and Hardscrabble Road.

Fee: $15

Electric Light Parade

The holiday season is fast approaching and planning has started for the annual Electric Light Parade. The parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Registration is now open for participants in this year’s parade.

Entry fees are $25 for a vehicle that is towed, $15 for any single motorized vehicle, and $10 for any walking participant.

The registration deadline is Nov. 21.

The parade will begin at Green Valley Park and travel east concluding at the Sawmill Crossing plaza.

Time: Electric Light Parade begins at 6 p.m.
