Hello again, fellow Creekers.

Saturday, Oct. 20 was an active, busy and fun day in Christopher Creek. Last week we talked about the C-K Fire Department and the FireBelles combining to sponsor a classic car and motorcycle show and all the goodies that go with it.

Special thanks for all the planning and supervision of the day go to Sheila Marcum of the FireBelles and Linda Digman of the C-K Fire Department, and to all the firefighters who helped throughout the day. Again, thank you!

Later in the afternoon, the Halloween party that CCHA conducts annually welcomed dozens of robots, ghosts, princesses, witches, divas, zombies and butterflies for food and frolic.

Following the downing of the dogs and chips there was the costume contest. Top winners in the various age groups were: Lelia Cody, Victoria Hubbard and Brayden Lewis. Thanks to the hard-working judges David Jones, Sheila Scott and Nanci Olson.

The costumed mob of joyful kids then squeezed onto two trailers for a trick or treat ride around the Christopher Creek circuit of Apple and Columbine. Many, many folks brought buckets of treats to the roadside for distribution to the costumed hoard.

Thanks again to all of you who made this day and evening so special, especially those who came as angels: Judy Tolle, Sheila Marcum and Linda Digman!

Thank you to Gary Anderson for the included pictures.

As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: info@christophercreeklodge .com. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.

Thanks again for reading the column.
