The Simple Question

Editor:

The election is over.

Do you, as an extreme liberal, really want to live under a government like Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela or Fidel’s Cuba? Roger Moor and others say it’s utopia.

If so, why don’t you all move there? Maybe you all should study Karl Marx’s “Communist Manifesto” or Mao Tse-tung’s little “Red Book” now that Obama won.

I should clarify: Mother Nature is continously thinning the herd, natural selection and so forth. Judging by your rants about Mao, Hugo, Hitler and comparing them to our current great Prez; well let's just say I think you're losing it.

When a communist tries to correct something that just slips out, he shows the character within. Jesus said “and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” Your wish for his demise, and your further attempt to smooth that over are both despicable.

Mr. Welge is simply wrestling with the idea of how ‘normal’ Americans can find solstice in thinking of a known liar and one who was reared under the succor of known communists as “great”. In the eyes of folks like Mr. Welge, there is no difference in being under the thumb of Hitler or Mao Tse-tung and under the thumb of Hussein. I do agree.

He and others will conclude that America is not as it was. It is dominated by folks that ignore the Constitution, as a thing long forgotten. Those voting today were educated in the socialist schools of the 60’s through today. Wherein folks with the socialist slant congregated as teachers. Thus, after a lifetime of socialist indoctrination, they see nothing wrong with Hussein, of folks who think as you do. If fact, they do think as you do. To them the Constitution is an archaic piece of faded paper in a museum.

Most have no concept of what it was for, and care less. All they care about is what the gov’t can do for them. It is selfishness in the extreme, but so ingrained that they can’t even perceive it.

Of you, I would have expected more. For, at one point you stood, with your hand in the air saying “"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

In it you swore to defend the Constitution, against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We all have an allegiance to the President, to follow his will. But, when that will directly violates the Constitution, then we have an obligation to resist that violation. And, in that oath, you called upon God to help you do it.

The socialist/communist has no consideration for that, and scoffs at it. They instead dream of Utopia, here and now. So the end justifies any means, regardless of how detrimental to our nation.

You heard Hussein promise the President of Russia that after this election he would be free to destroy the rest of our nuclear arms. Yet, you call him “great”?

So, now we will see what this “great” leader of yours can do. He can’t blame Bush anymore. (Which wasn’t even Bush, but the democratic congress that Bush so meekly tried to slow down.) And, when folks have had enough they will try something else. That may be a few months, or it may take years, but the end result will be anything but the Utopia you crave.
