Catch a glimpse of what Gila Community College art students have been working on and maybe even go home with your own one-of-a-kind piece next week at the school’s annual art show.
The Sixth Annual Student Art Show and Sale will feature student paintings, drawings, sculptures, stained glass, jewelry, photography and pottery.
Pam Butterfield, Payson Campus Dean, said the sale of items from the ceramic class is always a big hit because there are tons of pieces at a variety of price points.
“They make great Christmas presents,” she said.
Student work will be displayed across several rooms and into the hallway at GCC, at 201 N. Mud Springs Road.
The show, on Friday, Dec. 7, runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Students set their own prices.
Butterfield said if you aren’t interested in buying, the show is a great way to see what GCC art classes have to offer.
“They offer wildly diverse work,” she said. “It really is worth seeing.”
