Payson Area Alcoholics Anonymous meetings
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held Monday through Sunday at 8 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. (Rule 62) at 434 S. Beeline Highway Suite A, Payson; Tuesday and Thursday, 7 p.m. (Back to Basics) at St Philips Church, 511 St. Philips Street (Knights of Columbus room, side building); Monday and Tuesday, 6 p.m. at Men’s Step House, 107 E. Airline Blvd., Payson; and Sunday and Monday, 7 p.m. (Living Sober), 408 W. Main St., Suite 11 (rear entrance).

Unity of Payson
The Rev. Victoria Healing enjoys sharing her passion for Unity as a guest speaker at Unity Churches around Arizona. She will present “Your Highest Intention - Setting our intention is a powerful tool of our highest selves,” based on Scripture, three questions and seeing God in everything including ourselves at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 14.

Overeaters Anonymous meets from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community Room, 807 W. Longhorn Road (after turning in the main driveway, turn right at the first driveway. The Community Room is in the center of the apartment complex). Another meeting is held at 11 a.m. Wednesdays at Mountain High Coffee Works in the Swiss Village.
There are no fees or dues. The only membership requirement is a desire to not compulsively overeat anymore.

Payson Amnesty International
Women and children’s rights are human rights. Amnesty International is the world’s largest and one of the oldest grass roots human rights organizations. Join member of the Payson chapter as they partner with Time Out Shelter during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and shine a light on human rights issues in the community and throughout the world. Payson Area Singles
This group has no dues or age restrictions. The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch meets at Tiny’s Restaurant at 9 a.m. every week to visit and plan future activities. On the calendar:
• 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13 - private showing of “Argo;” meet by the snack bar inside the lobby of Sawmill Theatres.
• Wednesday, Oct. 17 - carpool to Pine for lunch at The Early Bird Café at 11:30 a.m., then attend the Fiddler’s Jam Session at 1 p.m. in the Community Center Cultural Hall.

Payson Art League
Pat Sessions will be the guest speaker at the Tuesday, Oct. 16 meeting of the Payson Art League at Rim Country Health & Retirement Community, 807 W. Longhorn Road, Payson. From 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. socialize, enjoy refreshments and Show and Share time, the program will follow. The public is welcome.
Sessions is education coordinator for the Payson Art League and works with art in the local schools. Her presentation will be based on a classroom lesson integrating literature and art. With this activity, other artists will be able to learn about how they could easily adapt this lesson plan to offer an art lesson in their medium to local students.
The Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge #70, located at 200 E. Rancho Road in Payson, meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m.
