Open Enrollment is the one time of year when everyone with Medicare can see what new benefits Medicare has to offer and make changes to their coverage.
There are new benefits for all people with Medicare — whether you choose Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan with drug coverage or Medicare Supplement. Take advantage of Open Enrollment and you may be able to save money, get better coverage or both.
Open Enrollment started Oct. 15 and lasts through Dec. 7.
Open Enrollment events will have a general presentation and review of Medicare 2013 plan options, one-on-one enrollment assistance, screening for “extra help” programs and other benefits assistance.
The events in Rim Country will be:
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19 and Friday, Nov. 9, Payson Senior Center, 514 W. Main St.;
• 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, Isabelle Hunt Memorial Library, 6124 N. Randall Place, Pine;

Senior Circle programs
The Senior Circle will also host two Lunch and Learn programs on Medicare Enrollment Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Participants will learn key questions to ask in order to better understand the fine print, save money and choose the best plan for you. There are two educational (no sales) sessions scheduled — the first is at 10:30 a.m. and the second is at 2 p.m. Snacks will be served at both.
