The Humane Society of Central Arizona welcomes all to help celebrate the grand opening of the new animal shelter, located at 605 W. Wilson Court, just south of Main Street and west of McLane Road.

Festivities take place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20, and include low-cost microchipping by HSCAZ, low-cost spay or neuter surgeries by Dr. Kit’s Mobile Clinic, animal demonstrations, activities for kids, raffles, HSCAZ Thrift Shop Boutique, Cake Love by Monica and more.

In addition, there will be an awesome adoption special both days — choose one or more of our wonderful pets to join your family and pay an adoption fee of only $15!

Saturday’s grand opening ceremonies begin with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m.

Dr. Kit’s Mobile Vet is a division of a private, non-profit, charitable organization developed to control pet overpopulation. Bring your healthy dog or cat in for spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations for rabies and parvo/distemper.

The mobile clinic will be open Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20, beginning at 7 a.m. Pets will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis, limit 65 pounds.

Rates are as follows:

Cat Spay: $49.

Cat Neuter: $29.

Ferals in cages: $32/$22.

Dog Spay: 2-20 lbs. $70, 21-40 lbs. $75, 41-60 lbs. $80, 61+ $80 plus $1/lb., Lactating add $10-$20, In Heat add $10-$20, Pregnant add $15-$40.

Dog Neuter: 0-40 lbs. $55, 41-70 lbs. $70, 70+ lbs. $70 plus $1/lb., Cryptorchid add $10-$40.

Canine Vaccines: Rabies $18, DA2PP $15, Bordetella $15.

Canine Test: Heartworm/ EHR $30.

Microchip: $35.

Cat Vaccines: Rabies $18, FVRCP $15, FeLV $15, FVRCP/ FeLV $22.

Method of payment at time of surgery is cash.
