Overwhelmed By Support From So Many In The Community

Thank you just doesn’t seem to be enough. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August. We have insurance, but it is catastrophic with a very high deductible. My heart is overwhelmed with the generosity of our wonderful friends in Pine and Strawberry, and in some cases, people I didn’t even know from surrounding areas. You have given me a precious gift — peace of mind during a very stressful time in my life.

Not only did the Senior Citizens Affairs Foundation host an ice cream social, they raffled a quilt made by the Strawberry Patchers. There was also a silent auction spearheaded by friends, Strawberry’s Elite, Take Pride, Pine/Strawberry Business Community and many others. The relief to be able to pay doctors, and for the MRI and PET scan lowered our stress level tremendously.

Appreciation also goes to four friends who stayed with my husband Dave during my six-hour surgery. I just knew that God was watching out for us!

Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts sent our way, for cards, for meals prepared, for comfort quilts, for the start of our wood pile to keep warm this winter, for just being there!

Bless each and every one of you!

Sheri and Dave Earp
