Payson Education Center Proud Of State Ranking

Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to inform the good people of Payson and surrounding areas that Payson Education Center, an alternative accredited high school, was ranked a “B” in the new A-F School Accountability Letter Grade System.

The letter grade descriptions are similar to what you would expect to find on a student’s report card.

A “B” ranking simply means a school demonstrates an above average level of performance.

We are pleased with our state ranking and would like to make sure that the public is aware that Payson Education Center is a viable option for students in grades 9 through 12.

For more information, please call 468-8509.

For Kids’ Sake,

Peggy Miles, principal

The real question is this: How is it that the this North Central accredited high school received a "B" while the PUSD Payson Center for success received a "D" with no Roundup coverage. Mrs. Miles and her staff are taking kids that have been rejected from PUSD and making them successful. Now that is a story!
