We Accomplish Amazing Things Working Together

In August, Time Out, Inc. and Habitat for Humanity teamed up to be part of a Habitat Brush with Kindness project. With manpower coming largely from a group of 20-something aged bikers, along with supplies and volunteers from Habitat, as well as other donations from nine local businesses, both organizations gleaned benefits.

The young cyclists — part of Bike and Build — completed a one-day community service project that assisted two Rim Country non-profit organizations.

For Time Out, two domestic violence transitional housing units were painted. Electrical repairs were made in one house and new mini-blinds were hung in the other home. Outside yard work was also done. And, a future cooperative project between Time Out and Habitat was identified.

Time Out, Inc. is most grateful to have been a recipient of this Brush with Kindness project. But more important is the understanding of the value of such partnership activities to the overall well-being of our community. Amazing things are accomplished in our town when organizations and businesses work together!

Thank you to all who were involved.
