Several Rim Country businesses have been nominated for business of the year in three categories as part of the Sixth Annual Rim Country Business Awards, sponsored by Kevin Dick Investment Management Group, and developed by the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Gila County Economic Development Corporation, and Payson Tourism, Parks & Recreation.
The 23 nominees for the three awards (Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Non-Profit Organization), have been submitted for judging. Judges will evaluate the nominations and reveal their choices at the Business Awards Luncheon in November.
Additional awards for 2012 will include the Jim Young Business Person of the Year, the Pat Willis Service Excellence, and the Community Service award. Organizers will also unveil the new “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the luncheon. Gerardo’s Firewood Café will cater the event.
Organizers are still seeking sponsors for the lunch, with a combination of advertising and networking possibilities. Tables of seven for the luncheon are $175; individual seats are $25. Get tickets at the chamber office, 100 W. Main St. or call 474-4515.
