The Christopher Creek food drive is starting this Friday.

Hello again, fellow Creekers.

The Christopher Creek food drive is starting this Friday. If you would like to donate any non-perishable or canned food items there will be boxes located at the Christopher-Kohl’s Fire Department, the Tall Pines Market, Landmark at the Creek and the Creekside Restaurant. The boxes will be at these locations from Friday, Sept. 14 until Thanksgiving.

The Thanksgiving holiday is only a few months away and what better way to say thanks than to help give back to others in need. So please stop by and help by donating some canned goods. This is a simple and inexpensive way to help others. Go through your cupboards or get off to the grocery store and grab a few canned items. Sometimes we tend to forget how spending even just as little as a dollar on a canned food item will help make a difference.

If you have any questions or want more information about the food drive, you may contact Sheila at the Tall Pines Market at (928) 478-4550.

As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.
