What Does It Take?

Editor:

An attack on a U.S. Embassy is an act of war. Embassies are sovereign territory and an attack on an embassy is the same as an attack on the U.S. domestically. Would an attack within our borders and the killing of innocent citizens, be treated the same as the recent attacks on our embassies?

The only difference between the attack in Libya and the attack on Pearl Harbor is the magnitude of the devastation. Yet we continue to give money to these countries because we want them to like us. While we are told that this was the act of extremists, either turn over the guilty immediately or we have no choice but to punish all.

Our response immediately following the attacks was totally inadequate and still is.

President Truman didn’t wait … why are we?
