The garden will hold a pumpkin sale from 4 p.m. to dark on Friday, Sept. 28 and from 7 a.m. to dark on Saturday, Sept. 29. Follow the signs to the garden on Tyler Parkway next to the KMOG radio station. Last weekend, the garden raised $1,100 from the sale of a ton of pumpkins (literally).

All donations will go to expand the community garden for next year. This year, the 100 plots produced about 4,500 pounds of fruits and vegetables for Rim Country food banks.

The money raised from the pumpkin sale will help the garden expand to 150 plots next year. The garden hopes people will donate between $5 and $10 per pumpkin. Some of the pumpkins topped 50 pounds.
