The Payson Longhorn football team scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to break open a hotly contested game and beat the Sedona Red Rock Scorpions 17-0 Friday evening in Sedona.
The only scoring either team could muster in the first three quarters was a Longhorn Dean Harpe’s 34-yard second quarter field goal that gave the Horns a 3-0 lead going in to halftime.
With the win, Payson improves its season record to 4-2 with a very good Mingus team on deck for Oct. 5.
See the Oct. 2 edition of The Payson Roundup for complete game details.
