Payson High School’s junior varsity golf team continued its stellar season Monday, beating the Cottonwood Cowboys.
“Fighting 30 mph winds, and some not so nice weather, PHS took home another win, defeating the Cowboys 198 to 220,” said assistant coach Rene Apps.
Ben Myer was the top Payson player, carding a 47. Clayton White was one stroke back from Myer with a 48.
Also contributing to the Horns’ victory were Hunter Harrison with a 51, and Austin Moss, 52.
The final event for the JV team and coach Jim Palma is a trip to Pinetop to take on Blue Ridge at 3 p.m. April 23.
