Saddened By Resignation

Editor:

Farewell Mr. Rappaport. We were saddened to learn of your resignation as mayor of Star Valley. We have lived in this wonderful community for seven years and we have always been thankful for the leadership you have displayed. Although we did not attend many council meetings, we felt very secure in the knowledge that with you at the helm, Star Valley would continue on a straight and progressive course. The editorial in the Roundup of April 19, is right on the mark.

Your conversations with us were at all times gracious and attentive to our concerns. Mr. Rappaport, you are a true gentleman. We will miss you and rest assured that along with us, there are many in our community that stand with you on your gun legislation letter to Senators McCain and Flake. We see no impropriety whatsoever.

Our best wishes to you and your family. Could it be that we will see you again sometime down the road, once again taking charge of our fair city?

To our new mayor, we can only hope you will continue to do the best for Star Valley as Mr. Rappaport has done for so many years.

After all is said and done, Mr. Rappaport, we truly do appreciate your accomplishments and we say to you, well done and thank you!

Bob and Karyn Sitter
