I appreciate the efforts and continued partnership from the members of the Kiwanis Club of Zane Grey Country, the Payson Unified School District, the Gracie Lee Haught Children’s Memorial Fund, and especially all of the dental professionals who continue to provide volunteer services for children through the Kiwanis Dental Program.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Several years ago, the local Kiwanis Club recognized the disparity in oral health care for children in Payson who are without insurance and the means to receive necessary dental care. Over the past three school years, this program has provided approximately $96,759 in donated dental services for the students identified for the program by the school nurses.
We would also like to recognize and thank the following dentists, dental hygienists, and their staff for volunteering: Dr. Eric Anderson, Dr. Charles Beier, Dr. Steven Booth, Dr. Justin Church, Dr. Ryan Diquattro, Dr. Brett Flaherty, Dr. Douglas Kerr, Dr. Thomas Mattern, Jodi Homes R.D.H., Yesenia Perez R.D.H., and the staff members from each office that have worked diligently to help us. These professionals and their staff members are dedicated to this community and are wonderful examples of caring and compassionate individuals.
The support and partnership from the district as well as the individual schools has been very much appreciated. We feel fortunate that we have so many caring people who are exceptional student advocates.
