There’S Still Much To Learn About The Health Care Law

There’s no argument that there’s still a lot to learn about the health care law, also known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA). But there’s no doubt that the law’s new benefits and protections will help many Arizonans.

For instance, the law’s provisions include a better Medicare drug benefit and new protections for health insurance consumers.

The ACA also creates a health care marketplace where people without insurance, or people who buy their own insurance, can go to get the coverage they need. These benefits start next year.

AARP wants people to better understand what the ACA means for them. As part of this effort, the organization recently launched a new online tool that has resources to help people get the facts. It’s called HealthLawAnswers.org.

As AARP Arizona State President, I’m well aware that opinions vary on the law. But whatever you think of the law, it makes sense to know what it means for you and your family. I hope you will check out AARP’s new online tool to help you get those facts.
