Whatever Happened To Common Courtesy?

Editor:

I understand that it is the customer’s responsibility for the operation of their television — but my 96-year-old friend was going to be charged a fee of at least $40, according to (her television service provider), when all that was required was for someone to change her TV to the right channel.

It is so disgraceful that our community has lost its sense of charity and tribalism, that they could not do this for a handicapped elderly lady.

We are so dehumanized by the envelopment of technology and automation that we cannot even help an elderly person.

Dare I ask why you didn't change her channel for her?
