Payson Area Computer Association members and guests are invited to the next general meeting at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6 in the community room of the Payson Public Library, 328 N. McLane Road.
Ray Baxter will show a video of an Applian Technologies, Inc. presentation from the summer 2013 APCUG Virtual Technology Conference and then he will briefly demonstrate the ability to capture streaming media using this software.

Veterans of Foreign Wars
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America will meet at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the American Legion Post #69, located at 709 E. Highway 260.
The Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge #70, located at 200 E. Rancho Road in Payson, meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. A dinner is held at 5:30 p.m. every second Tuesday for members, families and guests with an after-dinner program followed by the lodge’s Stated Meeting at 7 p.m.

International Police Association
The International Police Association (I.P.A. Region 61 Northern AZ) meets for breakfast at Mazatzal Casino Restaurant at 9 a.m. every Wednesday. All honorably retired law enforcement and active law enforcement personnel are welcome.

The walks start at 9 a.m. The schedule of sites is as follows: Sunday, Payson Public Library; Monday, Payson Elks Lodge; Tuesday, Parks & Rec office; Wednesday, Walgreens; Thursday, Payson Public Library; Friday, Home Depot; Saturday, west end of Longhorn Road.
Card players wanted
The Saving Graces of Payson — a Canasta card-playing group — is looking for a few ladies who enjoy fun, laughter and friendship.
This Red Hat group meets at 10 a.m. the first Wednesday of every month at the Crosswinds Restaurant patio room. There is a break for lunch around noon and play and resumes after lunch. Anyone interested in joining will be welcomed. You do not need to know how to play, the members will be happy to teach the game.

Kiwanis brats and hot dogs are back
The Payson Kiwanis Club Foundation is available to cook and sell brats and hot dogs at your function or cater your party.

Chapter DF of the P.E.O. Sisterhood will meet at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 6 at Mount Cross Lutheran Church in the Lomona Building, 601 E. Highway 260.
The group will be having its annual Snow party/Auction/ Luncheon with benefits going to P.E.O. Philanthropies. It will be hosted by the Social Committee and other members. Visiting P.E.O.s are welcome.

Write for Rights
December is Human Rights Awareness Month. Join local Amnesty International human rights activists as they prepare for the world’s largest letter writing event: the International Write a Thon on Saturday, Dec. 7. Pine Library Friends
The Pine Library Friends will hold the group’s annual Christmas Potluck at noon, Monday, Dec. 9 in the Library Activity Room located just behind the Cultural Hall of the Pine Community Center on Highway 87 in Pine.
Please bring a friend, a can of fruit for the food bank, and a dish to share.
No business meeting will take place.
Payson Lions Charitable Foundation
The Payson Lions are seeking help in funding eye exams, eye glasses and hearing assistance for local people in need. This is done through donations and right now is a good time to donate and receive a tax credit for 2013 under the Working Poor category of Arizona Department of Revenue guidelines.
Eligible couples can receive a $400 tax credit and individual filers can receive a $200 tax credit on State taxes for donations to the Payson Lions Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.
