Hello again, fellow Creekers.
Gas prices have gone up 32 days in a row and seem to continue to be on the rise. What a great time to support your local businesses. Rediscover Payson and check out some of the new shops and businesses around town. But if you insist on getting out of town, there are many amazing places to visit in Arizona without the need to travel far.
Just this last week I had the pleasure of visiting Sedona, also known as “Red Rock Country.” Sedona has great dining and shopping as well as many outdoor sports, beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, and lots of history, arts and culture.
Another place I enjoy visiting is Pinetop-Lakeside where I grew up. The White Mountains are full of outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking and fishing. It is also a great place to just relax and enjoy nature. There are also many local restaurants and shops.
These are just a few of the many beautiful locations we have in our state. Even our very own Rim Country is a spectacular getaway that many locals enjoy visiting.
So when you see gas prices on the rise, just remember all the great attractions we have right here in Payson and all of Arizona. We really are lucky to be living in such a beautiful state with so many wonderful vacation spots.
