Payson High School Culinary Arts class on Tuesday, Feb. 26 will host its annual Chef Event by featuring the flavors of Route 66. Food samplers can fill up along the way at The Road Kill Café, Fish n’ Chicks, The Pizzeria, and The Classic Grill. Featured foods include pork sandwiches, Mama’s homemade sweet potatoes, pizza rolls, and chiffles just to name a few.
The culinary students of Payson High School will prepare the treats and offer them up buffet-style for $15 for adults, and $7 for children age 7 and under. Kids under age 2 eat free. The event starts at 5 p.m. at the Julia Randall Elementary School cafeteria. The money raised will support the local high school Culinary Arts department, which prepares students for careers in the food industry.
