Morgan’s Creek Montessori owners Sandy and Geoff this season donated the space for a free family fun night, complete with Santa. The festivities included a selection of live music by Colleen Brown and the Starlights and Rachael Anne.
The Starlights, Colleen and Howard Brown were joined by Tony Wyanm on drums and offered vocals and piano featuring a selection of oldies with a touch of jazz.
The second act up was Rachael Anne, 17, who recently signed a recording contract with VSR Artists Development starting in January.
Rachael sang a few Christmas songs, including a heartwarming rendition of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” She also introduced her younger sister, Emily, who played “Oh Holy Night” on viola.
The cast included Agtlan, Hunter J., Hunter O., Dylan, Rhaly Anne and Sadee. They opened by arguing whose star was brighter and just as the littlest star gave up, he found himself shinning over the baby Jesus. At the direction of their teacher they all sang “Frosty The Snowman,” “Silent Night,” “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” and “Have A Holly Jolly Christmas.”
As the show wrapped up, one patron remarked, “It’s a shame it’s over.” The audience seconded the sentiment.
Santa made his way to the stage, took pictures with everyone and answered the kids’ questions like, “What if I don’t have a chimney?” Santa then explained he has a universal key to every house.
He also explained that if he ran behind schedule, he just stopped his magic watch, which gives him an extra month to deliver every present.
