Today’s winter storm should bring a high of 39 degrees and lows around 16, according to the National Weather Service.
The frigid temperatures should persist on Saturday, with a small chance of more snow on both Sunday and Monday.
Highs should then rise gradually to about 50 degrees with lows around 19.
The storm starts a new year for rainfall. Payson finished up 2012 with just 13 inches — about half the normal amount.
