Gauging the response at Tall Pines Market from both residents and visitors who came to play in the snow, holiday decorations along both sides of Christopher Creek loop were a delight!
Each year, in late November, the crew puts up the lights and plywood elves, snowmen and candy canes.
Then, in January, this time braving cold and crusty snow to their knees, the crew removes the decorations.
Chuck Schmidt finds time during the year to cut out a new gingerbread man or replace one of the weathered Santas. He and wife Karen then hand-paint the figures down to the smallest detail.
This year’s helpers included Judy Tolle, Marge and Gary Anderson, Ron Rouch, Karen Thornton, Alex and Irma Armenta, Dean Dodson, and John Marksbury.
And, what a great setting for the night of the annual holiday light parade — in six inches of snow!
