Unity of Payson
Unity of Payson will have a Membership Sunday, at the 10 a.m. service July 14.
This is a celebration as the congregation officially brings its charter members into Unity of Payson.
Dr. Lynnette Brouwer will explore what it means in our lives and in the church to be committed to this spiritual community.

Christians Together is a ministry at Good Samaritan Retirement Village located on East Tyler Parkway. The ministry is directed toward the residents of Good Samaritan who are not able or do not wish to attend local churches

Overeaters Anonymous meets from 2 p.m. Mondays at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community Room, 807 W. Longhorn Road (after turning in the main driveway, turn right at the first driveway. The Community Room is in the center of the apartment complex). There are no fees or dues. The only membership requirement is a desire to not compulsively overeat anymore.

Pioneering Human Rights
Amnesty International is one of the oldest grass roots human rights organizations. The Payson Chapter will hold its regular monthly meeting from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday July 15 at the Rim Country Literacy Center, 1101 S. Beeline Highway (behind the Knotty Pine Cafe). This month, members will plan the group’s Payson Rodeo Parade event as well as other human rights actions.

Payson Area Singles
The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch, a group of single men and women, meet at 9 a.m. every week, at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260, to visit and plan future activities.
Every Saturday during the summer, members meet at Green Valley Park for the evening concerts. They gather to sit on the grass nearest the church beside the sidewalk. All singles are welcome.

Friendship Bible Class

Payson Art League
The Payson Art League will meet at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 16. The program will consist of a round table discussion and demonstration of how to prepare painting surfaces, such as canvas, and how to use other supports like clay board for use in drawings, pastels, scratchboard, acrylics and oils. There will also be a discussion of how to seal finished works such as mixing and varied methods of application.
Rock Newcomb will lead the discussion. Newcomb is a local, well-known, award-winning artist who works primarily in acrylic.
Newcomb encourages everyone to come to the roundtable discussion with painting supports and art materials to work with and use for show and tell. Be sure to have your questions and suggestions ready, and pen and paper to keep up with all the ideas you may want to use later.

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group
The Payson Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group invites caregivers, families, service providers and members of the community to attend the support group meeting at Payson Senior Center, 514 W. Payson Mayor Kenny Evans will be speaking at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 17 at the meeting of the Democratic Club of Northern Gila County.
