Payson dentist Chris W. Winterholler, who also practices in Scottsdale, has received The Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award.

The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To accomplish this goal, Winterholler completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD.

This is the third post-graduate credential for Winterholler. Earlier, he received diplomate of the International College of Oral Implantology and fellow of the Las Vegas Institute.

Winterholler is also a founder of a forum for general dentists specializing in dental implants, offering live surgery classes for other dentists at his offices.

He graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1995 and currently practices general and implant dentistry in Phoenix and Payson. He is married to Patrice Winterholler, DDS, and they have three children.
