Be on the lookout for some of the best thread work in Rim Country when the Strawberry Patchers present their 17th Annual Quilt Show Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 7-9 in the Cultural Hall at the Pine Community Center. The show is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2.

In addition to the wonderful display of quilting work, there will be a vendor mall in the activity room behind the cultural hall and a drawing for an opportunity quilt called “Winds of the Wild.” Bring a non-perishable food item and get a ticket for a quilt drawing.

Viewers attending the show will cast ballots for their favorites, with a first, second and third place awarded in several categories.

Categories include: Novice Junior (under 16 years old); hand or machine pieced; hand or machine quilted; and non-professional machine quilting; long arm professional quilting; wearable; art or pictorial quilt; strip exchange challenge quilt, which will include strips from the Strawberry Patchers and Shoofly Quilters Strip Exchange in January 2013.
