Hello again, fellow Creekers.
Wow! That was sure one doozy of a storm. We sure have had an interesting winter this year. I’m not sure if that was the last big snowstorm or not, but regardless it seems like the community is ready to “spring” into action!
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Christopher Creek Homeowners Association is right around the corner. This event is always well attended and a blast for kids and parents alike. The event is at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 23 on Columbine Road across from the Ashby Pasture. There will be lots of prizes for kids age 10 and under. For more information, you may contact Irma Armenta at (928) 478-4753.
Also, on Saturday, March 23 the Christopher Kohl’s FireBelles are having a Bake and Book Sale at the Tall Pines Market from 10 a.m. to noon. All proceeds go to the “Training Fund” for new department members. Anyone wanting to donate baked goods can drop them off at Tall Pines on Friday, March 22. For more information, you can call Linda at (928) 478-4011.
Also, our local Creekside Steak House took fourth place in the recent Taste of the Rim competition. I understand there were a lot of strong competitors. So, congratulations Creekside.
These events are still a little ways out, but you can tell that everyone has warmer temperatures on their mind already. On May 11 the Christopher-Kohl’s FireBelles have their Corvette Club event.
Also, the ever-popular Christopher Creek Classic Car Show (and Craft Show) will be back this year in October.
So, with the warmer temperatures on their way, get ready to enjoy some festivities. Spring officially starts March 20.
As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: info @christophercreeklodge.com. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.
Thanks again for reading the column.
