Payson Walkers

Payson Walkers start their excursions at 9 a.m. daily. The hour-long walks are on pavement. Everyone is welcome, just remember to park away from the most used areas of any parking lot so as to not block business/clients, etc.

•March 20, meet at the corner of Granite Dells and Sutton Road

•March 21, meet at Aero and Ponderosa, the office of the Mogollon Health Alliance dirt lot

•March 22, meet at Roundup Road (west) and Mustang Circle (on road parking).

Masonic Lodge

The Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge #70, located at 200 E. Rancho Road in Payson, meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. A dinner is held at 5:30 p.m. every second Tuesday for members, families and guests with an after-dinner program followed by the lodge’s Stated Meeting at 7 p.m.

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

The Payson Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group invites caregivers, families, service providers and members of the community to attend the support group meeting at Payson Senior Center, 514 W. Main St., from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

Lamplighter Trailer Park events

There will be a Ladies Luncheon at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 20 at the Buffalo Bar in Payson.

There will be a Bunco game at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 30, the cost is $5 per person and prize money is shared at end of evening.


Members of the Rim Country 4-Wheelers would like to invite anyone interested in 4-wheeling to join them at their monthly meetings. Meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the Lamplighter RV Park Community Center in Star Valley.

In addition to our meetings, members meet each Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at a designated location for a run. Runs also occur once a month on a Saturday and the destination is usually predetermined at the prior month’s meeting.

P.E.O. Sisterhood

Chapter DF of the P.E.O. Sisterhood will meet at 9:30 a.m., Friday, March 22, at the Church of the Nazarene on Tyler Parkway. 

The hostess will be Nancy Ayers and the co-hostess is Lynne Brophy.  Ann Henley and Shirley Montgomery will give reports on Cottey College and the International Peace Scholarship, respectively.  There will also be installation of officers. Rim Country Coalition

The Rim Country Coalition is a newly formed group of local agencies and community members. The focus of the group is the prevention of substance misuse/abuse among older adults in the Payson area. The group plans to help “connect seniors in the Rim Country.”

The group meets at 1 p.m. on the fourth Friday of the month at the Payson Senior Center, 514 W. Main St. Anyone interested in attending is welcome.

Republicans host Scott Flake

The Rim Country Republican Club will meet Monday, March 25 at Tiny’s Family Restaurant. Members and guests may gather at 11 a.m. to order lunch and to socialize. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. Scott Flake, financial advisor, will speak. His topic will be Money Management for Seniors.

Soroptimists selling See’s Candy for Easter

See’s Candy is available in Rim Country at Four Seasons Realty, at its new location, 1101 S. Beeline Highway. 

This company makes the candy available year-round, to assist the local Soroptimist Club in its fund-raising efforts. Money raised helps support local community projects of the club. For club information, call (928) 978-8866.
