Payson Walkers

Payson Walkers start their excursions at 9 a.m. daily. The hour-long walks are on pavement. Everyone is welcome, just remember to park away from the most used areas of any parking lot so as to not block businesses/clients, etc.

Masonic Lodge

The Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge #70, located at 200 E. Rancho Road in Payson, meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. A dinner is held at 5:30 p.m. every second Tuesday for members, families and guests with an after-dinner program followed by the lodge’s Stated Meeting at 7 p.m.

NARFE meeting

The Mogollon Chapter 1235 of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees will hold its monthly no-host luncheon and meeting on March 27, beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 1:30 p.m. The meeting is held at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260, Payson.

This month, Rob Ingram, a member of the Transition Payson Team, will be the speaker. All active and retired federal employees are invited to attend; don’t forget new members receives a free lunch. Please remember to bring nonperishable food for the Payson Food bank.

New Hope Grief Support Group

The New Hope Grief Support Group is for those who have lost a spouse. It meets from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Senior Circle, 215 N. Beeline Highway, Payson.

Weight Watchers meets at 5 p.m. every Wednesday at the Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Road (next to the fire station).

Healthy eating class

“The Joys of Healthy Eating” is a hands-on, fun food prep class which meets at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday at Payson Center for Spiritual Awareness, 107 W. Wade Lane, Suite 2 behind the stairs, Payson. We will use existing recipes from raw and vegan cookbooks, and will create our own unique recipes as well.

TOPS Chapter 373 meets at Shilow Christian Fellowship Hall, 502 E. Rancho Road every Thursday. Weigh-in starts at 7:20 a.m., with the meeting at 8:30 a.m.

Rim Country 4 Wheelers

Rim Country 4 Wheelers invite anyone interested in 4-wheeling to join the monthly meetings.  Meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the Lamplighter RV Park Community Center in Star Valley. The next meeting is at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 28.

In addition to the meetings, members meet each Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at a designated location for a run.  Normally anywhere from four to a dozen or more members participate and the destination is usually determined at that time.  Runs also occur once a month on a Saturday and the destination is usually predetermined at the prior month’s meeting.

See’s Candy for Easter

The Easter Bunny is coming to Payson.

On Good Friday, March 29, members of the local Soroptimist club will be selling See’s Candies at National Bank from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If you are running late, Walgreens will be the place for See’s Candies on Saturday, March 30.

Payson Flycasters

The Payson Flycasters Club will meet Saturday, March 30 at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9 a.m. 

All anglers and campers are welcome to attend.

Play bunco

There will be a bunco game at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 30 at the Lamplighter in Star Valley. The cost is $5 per person and prize money is shared at end of evening.
