As a taxpayer I am somewhat disappointed that Payson Unified School District has lost students, lost funding, laid off teachers and with the exception of the Forest Service $750 bonus, have not given a raise in five years, but has now found the money to pay the Flippen group $20,000 for a climate survey and $65,000 for follow up training. And then hire an achievement administrator for $88,000 (+$17,600 for benefits) and an assistant principal at the high school, most likely at $7,000 (+$14,000 for benefits). I believe this adds up to $199,600.
I also find it a little strange that during these times, an achievement administrator is necessary for average size elementary schools and a medium-sized middle school and high school.
I believe a detailed explanation and justification for taxpayers is in order.
